Mario Duarte (GM) started his restaurant experience while working for his parents at El Bramadero restaurant (locavore’s current location) in the 80′s.  After 14 years in the IT industry, Mario returned to the place where he grew up to open locavore with the goal to provide high quality and sustainable food at a reasonable price.

In the food industry since he was 15, Jonathan Merritt (Executive Chef) joined locavore with experience & a dedication to excellence to match his ideas.  After his studies at the Boise State Culinary Arts Program, Jonathan moved to Portland where he worked alongside several famous Portland chefs in successful restaurants including Pok Pok.  Jonathan’s expertise in French & Thai cuisine brings a new dimension to locavore’s menu.

A native from Moscow, Mikhail Avdeev runs several successful small business. Mikhail’s passion for food and wine led him to open locavore with Mario Duarte. They met a few years back while working in the IT Security Industry.
